What is a Personal Month?
A Personal Month is the figure derived from adding your Personal Year to the current calendar month, reduced to a single digit. It is the shortest of the standard cycles that numerology tracks, and it sits inside the Personal Year the way a chapter sits inside a book.
The tradition reads it as a finer grain of the same nine-stage sequence. A Personal Month 1 within a Personal Year 4 is described as a fresh start inside a structural year — a new phase of the work rather than a new direction.
How is the Personal Month calculated?
Take your Personal Year, add the number of the calendar month, and reduce. Someone in a Personal Year 7 calculating for March would add 7 + 3 = 10, which reduces to a Personal Month 1.
The month is used as its plain number, so December is 12 reducing to 3. Master numbers are not preserved, for the same reason they are not preserved in the Personal Year: the cycle has nine positions.
What does each Personal Month mean?
The associations are the same nine described for the Personal Year, compressed into a month. A Personal Month 1 is read as a beginning, a 4 as a period of effort, a 7 as a quieter stretch, a 9 as a clearing-out. What the tradition does not do is treat the Personal Month as more informative than the Personal Year simply because it is more specific. The older sources are consistent that the longer cycle carries more weight, and describe the month as a modulation within it rather than a separate reading.
Is the Personal Month worth tracking?
Less than the Personal Year, in the tradition’s own terms. It is a lighter part of the practice, treated more casually in the older literature, and the descriptions available for it are correspondingly thinner.
